Utku Başyazıcı
Mechanical Engineer MSc Sustainability Consultant Utku is general coordinator of DOXA87 and industry recognised mechanical engineer with 20 years experience both in commercial building HVAC design and specialist applications. Since 2004, he has been involved in different aspects of building service design as a part of Arup Istanbul and London offices. He has been deployed as the lead design engineer in major projects in the UK, Turkey and Turkmenistan. He has been trying to pursue sustainable design and energy efficiency solutions since the beginning of his career. He is also certified BREEAM International assessor. He has given industry presentations at the national and international congress on different engineering topics, and he has a number of publications printed on national technical journals. In 2015, he moved from his associate designer role at Arup to establish an independent consultancy with colleagues from Arup, and DOXA87 Sustainable Design Platform has been emerged to realise a multi-disciplinary design collective that aims to bring skilled industry professionals together under common sustainable agenda

Tamer Hafızoğlu
Mechanical Engineer MSc Mechanical Designer Tamer is experienced HVAC system designer of the DOXA87 team. He has a background combining site and design experience. He started his career as a site engineer in İş Bank Towers which was one of the most important high rise building projects of that period. He has been working as a design engineer and design manager on high rise buildings, hotels, residential, office and sports buildings since 2000. He has delivered successful HVAC designs in various countries like Russia, Turkmenistan, Georgia and Saudi Arabia requiring flexibility to adapt your design to different challenges and local regulations. In accordance with his ongoing works on energy efficiency, he completed his research on building energy modelling and received the master degree in 2013. He was leading major projects as senior HVAC design engineer in Arup before he moved to develop his own consultancy. He has been collaborating with DOXA87 since last year as technical coordinator of DOXA87.

Aziz Özkan
Electrical Engineer BSc Electrical Designer Aziz is electrical design engineer of the DOXA87 team with experience on airports, hospitals, museums, offices, luxury hotels, residences and multi-purpose high-rise building projects in Turkey and abroad including Turkmenistan, Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, Libya and Nigeria. His airport design experience includes high voltage and low voltage distribution strategy development and specialist system design for airport services. He has also been part of Istanbul's new iconic TV-Radio broadcasting tower design team which is currently under construction. Aziz also has specific interest on BIM-based electrical system design and ICT(Information and Communication Technologies) systems.

Bahar Lakerta
Architect BIM Consultant Bahar is accomplished architect and experienced with software-based architectural design solutions. She has been working as architect and project coordinator in various projects and different locations like Turkmenistan, Katar and Irak since 2004. Throughout her professional career, she has been involved BIM-based design problems and design process improvement by using software tools. To be able to realise her idealistic and software-centric design approach in architecture, she started her independent consultancy business to promote BIM technology usage, parametric design and standardisation of BIM process. She has also been involving software development for specific client needs. She is currently part of the DOXA87 team and managing BIM business. Her approach is to develop special BIM consultancy programs depending on specific needs of firms.

Vasiliki Malakasi
Architect MSc Lighting Designer Vasiliki is industry recognized lighting designer of Doxa87 team. She graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2004 and she is a practicing architect in Greece since 2005. Lighting design started as an area of interest and soon gave her a new academic and professional direction. She completed the MSc Light and Lighting course in UCL, Bartlett School of Architecture in 2006 and soon after joined Arup Lighting in London. Vasiliki’s research on Urban Lighting Patterns on Glasgow’s riverfront was shortlisted at the Young Lighter Awards in 2009 and was later published from University of Lausanne. The topic further enhanced was presented at the PLDC 2011 Lighting Conference in Madrid. In July 2013, Vasiliki moved from a senior lighting designer role at Arup to develop independent architectural, lighting design consultancy. She is currently collaborating with Doxa87 in UK and Turkey. Private lighting design work aside, Vasiliki is currently the lighting advisor for a UK National Trust Foundation and she is active with the IALD Membership Committee.
